I am extremely happy with both Sean and Emmane. They both show tremendous concern for how everything is going in, they’re always there working hard, all their work looks really great and they were very pleasant to be around. I am going to tell everyone how much I like them, their work, and MK&B as a whole.

I am currently working on my second project with MK&B.  The first was a complete kitchen renovation in 1998 working with my own designer and with Keith Hudson.  Unfortunately, we used our own installers on that project and while they knew something about carpentry, they did not know how to install kitchens properly.   When the project was finally completed, Keith and an MK&B installer came to our home to correct many of the problems resulting from the inexperienced contractors.  Several years later, they came back again to replace the crown molding the original contractor installed and do some cabinet adjustments.

We have loved the cabinets in our kitchen and are planning a partial renovation using some of the existing cabinets and replacing others.  We went right back to MK&B because of their professionalism, expertise and the high quality cabinets they carry.  Keith has developed several designs to improve upon the flow of our space and while I have questioned some of his ideas, I now realize that he is nearly always right.  He knows design and he also knows the construction side of the business, which has been incredibly valuable.  I have also worked extensively with Kim and Salma and both have been knowledgeable, responsive and very helpful through the long process.

I am looking forward to enjoying my “new” kitchen and will provide an update to my comments when the project is completed.  I am confident that MK&B will again get my highest praise and unqualified recommendation.

We’ve worked with them twice, both times for cabinets but not countertops. Once in 2006 when we completely remodeled our kitchen (which is fairly large) and now (2014) with the complete remodeling of 3 bathrooms and a fourth vanity all at the same time (word of advice: don’t try to do that much all at the same time. Lesson learned).  So both big jobs with big orders.

These guys are amazingly helpful and completely reliable.  We’re the type that worries over the details and at the same time don’t know what we’re doing or what we really want.  Keith and his staff Jack are terrific and really patient in helping you work through the choices and planning to get to an order, including multiple trips to the house and providing lots of samples.  And then they take care of all of the little order details to ensure that we get everything that we needed.  I obssesively worried about the litlle details when it is really unnecessary with these guys because that will make sure that your getting evrthing that’s needed as part of the cabinet order. And in case you’ve never done this type of project before, there are a LOT of details and options that you will never think of which they will help you navigate through.  They are really helpful not only with the cabinet selections and ordering, but with the project design in general. Really, Keith completely designed our kitchen and new powder room.  On several suggestions I thought that he was off base, but fortunately my wife agreed with him and it turned out that he was completely right on everything and the kitchen came out fantastic and really quite high-end, and way more functional than it originally was, for a resonable amount of money. The reality is that they know a lot more about this than the average homeowner.

They also have a list of contractors to offer.  The ktichen remodel went terrificly and the bathrooms are in process but going well so far.

Also, their products really are good and reasonable priced.  They are good at only selling you the custom stuff only if you need it, and otherwise helping you save money by using the standard sized stuff. They NEVER have tried to up-sell us, even in the available upgrades.

I just want to thank you two for an amazingly beautiful kitchen design!  I love everything about it. The quality of the Cabico cabinets is outstanding and l love all the special ones:  The spice cabinet, the lazy susan, the pull out trash drawer, but the pantry is so wonderful and so much more space than I ever had before that I am a little teary-eyed every time I open it!  With all this extra space I have been able to move all the random serving platters, plates and bowls from under other tables, cabinets, etc spread all over my house!

It’s been absolutely life changing.  The layout works so well, I can’t believe how I ever managed to deal with my old kitchen.  It’s the first time I ever had something that turned out better than my expectations.  I am showing it off to everyone, and all the comments are so positive, in the “this should be in a magazine” realm.  I just want to sit in the middle of the floor and stare at my beautiful kitchen all day.  (That’s not totally weird, right?)

Thanks also for standing by your work and sending such a talented guy to fix the sink cabinet for my super heavy Rohl sink.  You cannot tell (trust me, I tried) at all that any work was done.  I love it!

Anyway, thanks again for all your help and vision and inspiration. Perhaps one of my favorite features now is my sweet little window.  It’s like the ugly duckling made swan: hidden for decades behind a drab shade when it was in the bathroom, now clad in carrera marble a lovely nook for a vase, I buy fresh flowers for it every week!  It’s wonderful, a star!  I can send pictures if you like-I liked your FB page, and can send pics that way too.

Project:
Total redesign for kitchen, including creating pass-through to dining room. MKB created the design, and I purchased Cabico cabinets from them.

Comments:
Keith created a beautiful and very professional design for our kitchen. He added details that gave our small townhouse kitchen a designer look and created a more open floor plan for the 40 year old space. We added a pass-through that was carefully sized and placed because it impacted the whole first level of the townhouse. He persuaded us from making design decisions that we would have regretted, and he was right. He is pleasant to work with. The MKB showroom in Rockville has a relaxed and welcoming atmospere if you are inclined to help yourself as you ponder decisions, as I am. Getting to the final plans was definitely the rate-limiting step in the kitchen remodel process. Responsiveness from the firm to phone and email questions was slow. There was a measuring error that required modification of the plan on one wall and modification of the delivered custom cabinets. That part was frustrating, but if you are patient, working with Keith is worth it. The design exceeded our expectations, and with time, the inconvenience of the process is forgotten, and the beautiful kitchen remains yours to enjoy. I am giving MKB an ‘A” because I think the final outcome is more important than the process.

Project:
MK&B gave me 3 possible designs for a kitchen renovation. All were excellent. I selected one and purchased cabinets from MK&B, and granite through them.

Comments:
Keith came to my house to talk about what I wanted. He was very knowledgeable and had lots of ideas. He sent me 3 great designs. I chose the mid-level design. I asked him lots of questions about why he did certain things and he had good answers for all of it. I went with everything he recommended, with a couple of minor exceptions. I purchased cabinets and granite from him. I used his recommended source for appliances. My contractor did all the work. MK&B was responsive and good to work with, although sometimes they were a little slow in responding to questions. A few things didn’t arrive with the cabinet shipment and they took care of it without delay. I love my kitchen and so does everyone who’s seen it.

Comments:
Keith was excellent. Initially he made suggestions that I didn’t like, but he kept giving reasons why his suggestions were good. He said he would change them if I wanted, but in the end I went with his suggestions on location of floating and open shelves, and glass fronts on some of the cabinets. His vision was much better than mine and the kitchen layout looks great. I’m very happy that I listened to his opinions on why certain things would work or wouldn’t.

Project:
They designed and built two custom vanities for my master bath.

Comments:
I had a very specific design in mind and Keith was awesome in working and reworking the design to meet my needs. The whole staff was always responsive and friendly. The final product was gorgeous and I couldn’t be happier with their great service and quality!

Project:
Montgomery Kitchen and Bath designed and provided the cabinetry for the kitchen in October.

Comments:
I thought they cared about my project. I thought they wanted to improve livability and usability of my kitchen and they wanted it to work beautifully. They were great to work with and had expensive choices. They were very professional. One of the manufacturers designed the cabinets, did all the measuring and made customized.

Project:
Montgomery Kitchen and Bath (MKB) helped me to design a new kitchen for an older two-story brick colonial. Keith Hudson was the designer. We met at their showcase in Gaithersburg first, went over numerous possibilities, and settled on the most ideal plan. Keith came to the house and verified all of my measurements while beginning to give installation tips. MKB ordered the cabinets and set an arrival date. The arrival date was met and the cabinets were immediately delivered to my house. MKB also put me in contact with a granite cutter for countertops and an appliance wholesaler. I purchased countertops and appliances through these companies. I installed the cabinets and Keith then came back to the house to check my work, give more suggestions, and provide additional materials to facilitate completion (free of charge). Keith has offered to come back again to be sure I’m happy with the final product, even though the project is basically done.

Comments:
I was very pleased with the process and the final product. I have an awesome kitchen now and increased the value of my house considerably, with minimal financial and personal time investment. Keith was a pleasure to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. I worked with Keith at MKB to design a new kitchen in an older 2 story colonial. I had already knocked down the wall between the original dining room and kitchen when I invited Keith over to start the design process. I had a couple of plans in hand. Keith and I worked through an additional 3 potential plans and settled on one in a short time. All details were set, the cabinet order was placed, and the cabinets arrived at MKB on time. We had the cabinets immediately shipped to my house. The delivery men were very friendly, careful, and efficient. I did the installation with the help of a friend. I had never done anything like this before, but the plan was solid, the numbers were accurate and, after a few beginner mistakes on our part, all the cabinets were installed level and square. MKB also hooked us up with a granite cutter for countertops and an appliance company that got us state-of-the-art appliances at wholesale cost. The appliances arrive on Tuesday (Sept 4th). After that, all that needs to be finished is the crown molding. I will highly recommend Keith and MKB to friends and family.

They are fantastic. My girlfriend’s husband who is a contractor uses them. I would absolutely use them in the future.
